My background is in working with young volunteers and students in Colleges. After having my first child I needed to flex my creative muscles and founded Little Things in 2016. I worked both jobs for over a year until I took the plunge and opened the Little Things Design Studio full time in 2017. After the birth of my second child in 2018 I launched my second brand Olive & Pip; the home of gifts made with childrens artwork. Olive & Pip is inspired by children Ella and Jake (or “Olive and Pip” when they were being baked in my tummy!). I made my first drawing gift from one of Ella’s doodles. She is a creative soul who loves to draw! There is honestly nothing I love more than seeing all of her fabulous creations, especially since she learnt to spell my name- my heart melts when she comes home from school with little love letters for me. Jake is too little to draw yet but I still cherish the finger-blob paintings he brings home. These little “I love it” proud-mum moments prompted me to create Olive & Pip.
Our signature sparkly metallic prints make your childrens artwork really pop, creating a beautiful keepsake that can be loved and looked back on for years to come, capturing magical moments from when they were small. We love working with childrens drawings, they are so full of personality! And we guarantee our gifts will make the lucky recipient smile everyday.
Your little one will be so excited to see their drawing transformed, and will be beaming with pride when they wear it themselves or give their gift to someone special and watch them open it!
Many of my childrens drawing designs are bought as a gift to bring a big smile to a grandparents face, which gave me the idea for The Cheerful Little Letter Project during the pandemic. With a drive to spread happiness I founded a project matching children with elderly care home residents so they could send each other happy post and spread some joy in an
otherwise scary and uncertain time. I received a Points of Light Award from the Prime Minister for her work and the project was featured on BBC’s Make a Difference.
All of our products are made by hand by our small and friendly team in our studio in Newport Pagnell and sold online. We always welcome our customers with a big smile- even if it’s a virtual one!
With our gifts sold and loved worldwide, the business might have grown from the early days of making tokens for friends but her purpose remains the same: to live with fun, joy and kindness – and cherish every minute.
